A Modern and Elegant Wedding at the University Club of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois

Whitney Cox (29, an accountant) and James Holinka (33, an insurance broker) met at a bar in Wicker Park, Chicago, on New Year’s Day in 2013. “I was actually there with someone else at the time,” Whitney says. “Jim noticed me and introduced himself to me (even though I don't remember meeting him!). His good guy friend and my good girlfriend are siblings, so he reached out to my friend and tried to find a way to see me again. It worked!”Whitney and James chose the University Club of Chicago as the venue for their modern and elegant nuptials, and Gerber + Scarpelli Photography as their photographer. Their stunning gray and white florals were seen in the bride’s bouquet, centerpieces and boutonnieres.Although the UCC handled all the catering, cake and set-up, Whitney did all the stationary herself.“I bought paper from PaperAndMore.com and printed them at home. Big money saver!” the bride says. “Invitations, menus and escort cards were all on a metallic pearlescent gray cardstock. The programs were on a pearl cardstock.”
