A Modern Airport Wedding at Zaxby's Hangar in Winder, Georgia

Kelsey Todd (25 and the owner of a nannying business) and Andrew Pinckney (33 and a medical device salesman) really took their modern wedding to new heights. The couple said "I do" in Zaxby's Hangar in Winder, Georgia—Kelsey's dad is a pilot and the contractor behind the space. In fact, Kelsey and Andrew's spring wedding was the first event at the venue. They dressed up the stark white interior with navy and coral accents, with a touch of glam gold and inspiration from Kelsey’s favorite designer, Lilly Pulitzer. Vibrant coral, blush and ivory Flowers by On softened the space, and ferns filled with fairy lights separated the ceremony and reception areas in the large, open space. The wedding coordinator, Function, made sure the day progressed without delay. Kelsey’s processional was undeniably a highlight: As Andrew waited for Kelsey to walk down the aisle, the massive hangar doors opened and she taxied up in a vintage airplane, surprising everyone. (Way to make a grand entrance!) The airplane theme continued at the reception, where guests found their dining tables arranged by flight boarding zones as Kelsey’s dad welcomed everyone as if they were about to take flight. Everyone even received their own set of customized pilot wing pins to wear and take home. Anna K. Photography beautifully captured all the details—see below.
