Nearly seven years after they first met as high school sweethearts, Cat Meschia (23 and a creative associate) and Michael O'Brien (23 and a clinical research coordinator) returned to their hometown of Jacksonville for their  wedding. "Choosing a location was the easy part," Cat says. The couple booked Casa Marina, a hotel that overlooks dunes and the Atlantic Ocean. "We wanted to give our out-of-town guests a true Florida vacation experience and our venue perfectly highlighted classic Florida architecture while showing off the beach," she says. Arrangements of monstera leaves and white ranunculus topped dining tables for a look the couple referred to as "modern classic beach." Subtle embossed palm fronds added flair to the minimalistic invitations. Instead of signature cocktails, Cat and Michael served beers from their favorite breweries across every city they've resided in—Chicago and Atlanta included. As a fun way to commemorate the festivities, guests posed for photos in a DIY photo booth and took home the prints in acrylic frames. "We got a little greedy and wanted three different cakes," Cat says. The pair decided to serve white chocolate cake, dark chocolate with raspberry filling and a classic Key lime confection. The dessert spread was rounded out with lavender and Earl Grey shortbread cookies paired with tart lemon bars.
