A Luxury Ballroom Wedding at NYIT de Seversky Mansion in Glen Head, New York

Walk through the beautiful gardens and into the mahogany ballroom with marble staircases to become mesmerized by the luxurious elegance of NYIT de Seversky Mansion in Glen Head, New York -- just as Anastasia Rigaios (28 and an accountant) and Anthony Tesoriero (28 and a sanitation worker) had been. “We especially loved that it was a more intimate-size mansion, where both our friends and families could feel at home,” Anastasia says. The wedding attire complemented the luxurious feel of the venue; Anastasia wore a strapless ivory wedding dress with a beaded bodice and a ball gown tulle skirt designed by Kenneth Pool, while Anthony wore a black tuxedo made of satin with a classic bow tie by Turnbull & Asser. The wedding ceremony took place in St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral, with an ornate interior design that needed little additional decorating. Guests were moved to the dining room for a plentiful dinner of sea bass, pork loin or filet mignon on gold dinnerware set around tables in simple white linens, captured by W Studios New York. For the remainder of the night, friends and family danced the night away to a selection of Greek and Italian songs, accommodating both cultural sides of the couple. What we really loved were the monogrammed wax seals that added a nice personal touch to the wedding stationery. “It was important for us to incorporate things we crafted, like the monogrammed wax seals that were hand-stamped onto the invitations and place cards,” Anastasia says.
