A Luxurious, Regal Wedding at Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Kelly Knable (28 and self-employed) and Nick Kennedy (28 and self-employed) met in a college class. They dated throughout college and continued dating after they graduated. Nic proposed to Kelly in Pittsburgh's Market Square after dinner at the restaurant where they had their first date and a horse-drawn carriage ride through downtown Pittsburgh. The couple's jaw-dropping wedding took place at the opulent and historic Grand Ballroom at the Omni William Penn Hotel. The hall, which features antique crystal chandeliers, gold leaf railings and a dramatic, wrap-around balcony, was illuminated with purple and yellow uplighting. The round dining tables were arranged with ivory linens and gold chiavari chairs and decorated with tall floral arrangements of pink roses, white hydrangeas and white calla lilies. For this elegant affair, the groomsmen and Nick wore custom-made black tuxedos with pink rose boutonnieres to match the bridesmaids bouquets of pink roses and hydrangeas that they carried with their floor length, navy dresses. Kelly looked radiant in a lace, mermaid style wedding dress and carried a bouquet of white peonies, roses and hydrangeas. Wedding fun included a performance by the Three Waiters, a group of opera singers who pretended to be servers until halfway through dinner, when they broke out in song and dance. Another fun touch was the bouquet toss from the ballroom's balcony. Kelly and Nic's regal wedding was a blast for the newlyweds and their loved ones.
