A Luxurious Hotel Wedding at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, Florida
Erica Minich (29 and a dancer) and Emre Sevinir (33 and a Greenway auto wholesale manager) met at Luma in Winter Park, Florida. After a long night of eye contact across the restaurant and no talking, Emre finally approached Erica by running across the street as she was leaving and asked for her number. Six months later, Emre planned a surprise party at Luma and proposed to Erica as a harpist played in the background. When looking for a venue, they fell in love with a hotel called the Peabody because of the classy atmosphere and the baby ducks that lived on the property. Shortly after they booked their wedding date, the Peabody was sold to Hyatt and the ducks were no longer available to walk during the ceremony and reception. Despite the sad news, the couple still loved the rooftop pool deck and enjoyed the fresh breeze on their big day. Being a dancer, Erica knew she wanted a wedding dress that fit her body perfectly along with the right material. She chose a white gown with beaded designs and a sweetheart neckline with a secret zipper to create a slip for the reception. To keep the classy feel of the venue, Erica chose pink for her color scheme, seen in the bridesmaid dresses and the elegantly extravagant floral arrangements. The Hyatt created their signature cocktail of vanilla vodka, pineapple, and strawberry juice. For Erica and Emre, the most important thing was keeping a great atmosphere for their guests. With vanilla wedding cake filled with strawberries and great music, their fun and fancy free wedding did just that. "Don't sweat the little things and have fun," says Erica.
