A Luxurious Formal Wedding at NYIT de Seversky Mansion in Old Westbury, New York

Shannon (27 and an optometrist) and David (28 and an attorney) Mignardi met at Manhattan College despite being two years apart. A mutual friend helped bring them together initially, but they did not actually start talking until they ran into one another at a local bar. They bonded over graduate school applications and spent many nights studying together in their school's library. After dating for a while, David decided to propose at a hotel restaurant in the city the same summer Shannon started her residency. They had a romantic dinner and enjoyed a celebratory bottle of Prosecco before calling their loved ones to share the big news. After a traditional church wedding ceremony, Shannon and David held a luxurious reception at NYIT de Seversky Mansion, a Gatsby-inspired estate in Old Westbury, New York. Inspired by the formal atmosphere, David wore a classic slim fit tuxedo, while Shannon looked spectacular in a strapless, drop waist ball gown and vintage beaded veil. Elegant centerpieces incorporated golden candelabras, golden vases filled with hydrangeas and roses, and golden framed table numbers. The entire celebration was European-style, with a lengthy cocktail hour, formal sit-down dinner, and separate dance portion. Each part of the evening took place in a different room of the mansion so that guests could explore the property. A same day edit video was played at the end of the evening to share the couple's wedding story with guests who could not attend the church ceremony. The evening concluded with a four-tier wedding cake adorned with soft pink roses and a selection of cigars outside by the venue's fire pits.
