A Luxurious Ballroom Wedding at The Crosby at Rancho Santa Fe in San Diego, California
Amanda Waldschmidt (27 and a finance clerk) and Greg Betz (40 and in marketing support) met while they were both working in the customer service department of the same company. But what first began as a friendship eventually turned into a romantic relationship, and a year and a half later they officially moved in together. The pair were opening gifts on Christmas morning, and Greg mentioned he had to get Amanda’s present in the other room because the shape would give it away. Amanda took the small gift, still not knowing what it could be, and opened it to find a Disney button that read “…Happily Ever After!” That’s when Greg got down on one knee and pulled out the real diamond ring. The couple got married at The Crosby at Rancho Santa Fe in San Diego, California, where the beautiful lawn and intimate clubhouse provided the perfect ambience for their elegant, luxurious wedding. Amanda fell in love with the lace on her strapless ivory wedding dress, adding a vintage flair to the classic style. The four-tiered ivory wedding cake had flavors of dark chocolate with Kahlua, white cake with apricot cream cheese and lemon cake with lemon cream filling, and the outside pattern resembled the lace on Amanda’s dress. “The whole day was really centered on our 'happily ever after' fairy-tale theme, and it couldn’t have been a better representation of how much we enjoy each other,” says Amanda.
