Grace Park (30 and a professional violinist) married her college sweetheart, Kunal Khaitani (30 and a business owner), in an Asian fusion affair at Monarch Beach Resort, which "acted as a getaway for our guests,” she says. “Once you set foot on the property, you feel like you’re on vacation.” The couple combined many elements of their different cultures into the day. “It was important to us that elements from our Korean, Indian and American heritages were present throughout our wedding,” Grace says. A traditional Indian ceremony preceded the timeless Western reception. As a nod to their alma mater, the newlyweds entered the party to the tune of USC’s famous fight song. Tables were named for the bride’s favorite classical composers, and low-lying arrangements of garden roses, ranunculus, astilbe and tulips matched the organic feel of the couple’s verdant mandap.
