During a line dancing class at Georgia State University, Abbi Proctor (25 and an associate financial representative) first learned that Cameron Windham (24 and a financial advisor) has some serious moves. But it wasn't until their paths crossed again during their senior year that the pair started spending more time together and eventually began dating. Cameron surprised Abbi with an engagement ring at the Atlanta Botanical Garden after an evening of looking at Christmas lights and the couple spent the next eleven months planning their sophisticated wedding. After a traditional ceremony at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, guests were invited to a formal reception at Terminal Station in Macon, Georgia. Although the newlyweds decided on an understated ivory and green color palette, their over-the-top hydrangea and rose flower arrangements made a dramatic impact within the ballroom reception. "I've seen a large estate table with tall center pieces done in Terminal Station many times so we wanted to do something different, something never seen here before," says Abbi. "We planned for tall columns supporting large arrangements in the center of the table to create a focal point in the center of the room." Hanging candles were the "jewels" of the oversized centerpieces and made the entire room sparkle after dark. A custom hydrangea wall served as a backdrop for the elegant cake table and flower trees made of magnolia leaves and dendrobium orchids decorated the perimeter of the room. "Our adorable ring bearer walked down the aisle carrying a pillow with our sweet dog’s face on it," says Abbi. "Since Beau couldn’t be in the wedding, we still found a way to incorporate him!"

Abbi's seven bridesmaids complemented their matching cream dresses with black heels. "I picked a short, lace dress that I thought was unique and something the girls could wear again," says Abbi.

The bride's little cousin matched the groom in an ivory dinner jacket and black pants. "Evan walked down the aisle carrying a pillow with our sweet dog’s face on it," says Abbi. "Since Beau couldn’t be in the wedding, we found a way to incorporate him!"

Abbi and Cameron chose to exchange vows in a church because they wanted a more traditional wedding. "Not only is Mulberry Street United Methodist Church a beautiful church with its stained glass windows and wooden interior, but it also holds so much history," says Abbi. "It also has a middle isle which was important to me!"
Abbi's soft bouquet consisted of white hydrangeas, garden roses, parrot tulips, mini green hydrangeas, lisianthus and seeded eucalyptus.
A simple color palette of ivory and green lent a traditional feel to Abbi and Cameron's elegant affair.

"There was an ugly door behind the cake table, so my sister-in-law came up with several options to hide it," says Abbi. "We ended up ordering extra hydrangeas to create a flower wall instead of using traditional draping to cover the door."
