A Lush, Romantic Wedding at the Hyeholde Restaurant in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania
Alyssa Yukevich (24, floral designer) knew she was meant to be with Chris Rainville (26, plant biologist) after only four months of knowing him. "I don't know what made me realize it, but we were happy and sweet to one another, and also very up-front about what we wanted our lives to be," says Alyssa. Alyssa proposed to Chris on Thanksgiving after two years of dating. She recalls being nervous and says she considered backing out. Luckily, she didn't. Alyssa and Chris had both their ceremony and reception at the Hyeholde Restaurant near Pittsburgh. It was the only venue they visited, and they fell in love with it because of its beautiful grounds, great food and affordability. They held their ceremony outdoors on a lovely summer's day. Alyssa and Chris were wed under a romantic arch covered in Juliet garden roses. Their color scheme consisted of pastels, including blush, lavender, baby blue and light yellow, which perfectly suited the greenery around the ceremony venue. Their reception was held indoors at the restaurant, where fairy lights were wrapped around trees. Their centerpieces consisted of an array of pale roses. Alyssa and Chris' wedding was full of details, including a tree trunk guestbook, a selection of handkerchiefs for guests to use during the ceremony, and a variety of pies for dessert. "It was so important for us to enjoy the company of our guests, and we did that in the simplest and most perfect way."
