A Lush, Outdoor Wedding at Venue at the Grove in Phoenix, Arizona

This outdoor wedding was so full of green, you’d never know it was in Arizona. Jessica Lincoln (22 and a pediatric nurse) and Josh Zehring (23 and a financial adviser) had their wedding in Phoenix, Arizona, at Venue at the Grove. “We wanted it to look like we weren’t in Arizona, with big trees, greenery, a brick patio with overhanging bistro lights, a barn and white picket fences,” Jessica says. She looked absolutely breathtaking in her fitted Monique Lhuillier ivory lace wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline and a chapel train. Josh looked dapper as well, in his gray suit with a blue shirt and tie, but with a special addition: He wore a watch engraved with “Time to Get Married.” The couple chose their pastel color palette by going to a hardware store and choosing their favorite paint-color swatches. The baby blue, peach and ivory flowers perfectly fit in with the natural surroundings. Everything flowed according to tradition, including the couple’s first look as Jessica walked down the aisle. The one surprise? “Since we aren’t big cake fans, we wanted to have the My Waffle Crush truck come and serve waffles,” Jessica says. This casual touch was a great reflection of the couple’s fun-loving nature, which was the goal of their wedding. “Josh and I really wanted our wedding to be down-to-earth and welcoming to our family and friends,” Jessica says. “We wanted for everyone to feel like they were a part of our story and truly see and understand the reason behind why we wanted to marry one another.” See the details, beautifully captured by Jessica Q Photography, below.
