A Lush Garden-Style Wedding at Brigalias in Sicklerville, New Jersey

Between Brigalias’s beautiful grounds in Sicklerville, New Jersey, and the lush florals in Jessica Marchese (25 and an art teacher) and Joseph Marchese’s (26 and a police officer) celebration, everything about this wedding felt like walking into a garden. White roses, greenery and sheer fabric draped over the wedding arch as arrangements of green hydrangeas and pink delphiniums from A Garden Party, their florist, accented the space. The ceremony itself was full of sweet moments. Jessica’s friend and former art teacher presided over the ceremony as they shared personal vows. “Needless to say, there was not a dry eye in the place,” Jessica says. After Jessica and Joe shared their first kiss, they posed for a few photos with family and Teal Photography before joining everyone for the cocktail hour. Tall arrangements of green and pink blooms on crystal stands served as centerpieces while rows of silver candelabras and votives lined the sweetheart table. For a fun touch, each place setting was met with a personalized bottle of limoncello. Guests enjoyed a dessert station filled with cheesecake, crepes and a three-tier wedding cake before taking to the packed dance floor. One detail that stood out was Jessica’s DIY wedding favors. “I created an herb garden for the guests where each herb represented a wish to make on our marriage,” she says. “The herbs were plucked by the guests and put in a decorative vase to be kept for best wishes.” All ended the night with a ton of memories and a start to their own garden.
