A Love of Music Festivals Inspired This Wedding at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery in Pleasanton, California

Samantha and Rond love going to music festivals together so they decided to let their beloved pastime inspire their wedding at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery in Pleasanton, California. "Our wedding was a modern lux theme! We took a lot of inspiration from Pinterest of course but loved the minimalistic, clean theme. As a couple, we tend to lean more towards veyr simple colors of lots of white, some black, gold and some greens incorporated into our florals," recalls Samantha.

Given that music festivals are so beloved by the couple, it's no surprise that the musical selections were an important part of the couple's wedding day. "One of our favorite things we love doing as a couple is going to music festivals and concerts. We chose to enter our reception to 'Clarity,' by Zedd. Entering the reception my husband Rond introduced us holding a mic and said 'We are, Mr and Mrs. De Leon! Sing along if you know this song.' Just as a DJ would introduce himself when he comes on at a festival! Then our wedding planner picked tables of our best friends that joined the dance floor when we entered. They all were holding streamers that were released as we entered! It was so fun being surrounded by everyone we loved when we entered into the reception! It was epic and one of our favorite parts of our wedding," recalls Samantha.

In addition to the musical elements of the wedding, Samantha explains that "another favorite part was naming a drink after our dog Nova! She also walked down the aisle as our 'Dog of Honor.' We rescued her when she was two years old. We could not have imagined this day without her." As a complement to having one of their cocktails named after their dog, the couple named another one in honor of their Filipino heritage. They had a "signature drink named 'Kapamilya Forever' after our Filipino club on campus we joined our freshman year after we met. We named one of our signature drinks 'Kapamilya Forever' because that club had such a big impact on our lives and was such a big reason why we spent so much time together that made us closer as friends which developed into something more." To further honor their Filipino culture, the couple also chose to include a money dance in their wedding.

Looking back on the wedding day, the couple emphasizes the importance of taking "at least 5-10 minutes just the two of you to soak it all in. The day goes by so fast and it was so nice just to have time together for a few minutes as husband and wife!"
