A Love of Bicycles Inspired This Couple's Wedding at The Foundry in Long Island City, New York
A shared love of biking inspired much of Evan Seigerman and Marc Schechter's wedding day at The Foundry in Long Island City, New York. Illustrated bike spokes appeared on much of the couple's stationery and tiny bicycle figurines were even used to hold guests' place cards. The bike spoke motif made yet another appearance on the couple's chocolate-flavored wedding cake.
However, beyond their athletic hobby, the couple's Jewish faith was also a cornerstone of their wedding. "Our wedding was inspired by our Jewish faith—we wanted to take elements of a traditional Jewish wedding and queer them," they share. Furthermore, nods to the city that never sleeps were not in short supply at the couple's black-tie Long Island City wedding. Iconic black and white cookies were on the menu, in addition to a custom cocktail inspired by Katz's Deli.
