Thanks to her Italian roots and Northern California upbringing, Jenna Whitecar always longed to get married on a vineyard. She chose Leal Vineyards in Hollister, California, for her September wedding to Jason Wohlwend. “I wanted the general theme of the day to be romantic with fun, playful elements,” Jenna says. A color palette of plums and dusty lavenders—accentuated with copers, rose golds and deep greens—set the stage for the décor. “We already had a beautiful setting with a hillside vineyard, lavender fields and a pond, but the décor really tied it all together,” the bride says. “Our ceremony altar was a floral circle, which I loved since it felt symbolic to the commitment of the day.” The unique arch also matched Jenna’s lush bridal bouquet with roses and anemones. After cocktail hour, guests attended an intimate and elegant tented reception. “We had a variety of both tall and short centerpieces filled with the same flowers as my bouquet and the altar,” Jenna says. “Everything was draped with greenery and fresh plums, and cut figs were placed around the tables to add a unique flair.” As for the day’s fashion, Jenna wore a lace fit-and-flare gown paired with rose gold jewelry and a long tulle veil, while Jason donned a fitted black suit with a skinny tie.
Our favorite #MakeTradition moment: Jenna's wedding band was made with diamonds from her grandmother's band. "I was very close to my grandparents, and since my Nana passed in 2010 and my grandpa in 2012, this was a wonderful and special way of including their love story into our own," she says.
