A Jewel-Tone Garden-Inspired Wedding at Four Seasons Hotel Austin in Texas
“It was so important to us that all of our guests were comfortable,” Nicole Ferguson (30 and a real estate manager) says of her wedding to Cody Musser (26 and a fireman) in the heart of downtown Austin. “Many of Cody’s best male friends were deployed, so his best female friend, who has been one of our biggest supporters, stood as Cody’s best woman,” Nicole says. The couple chose the Four Seasons Hotel Austin for its picturesque grounds, where they outfitted a reception tent with fresh greenery and twinkling lights. “We wanted an intimate, fun evening outside under the stars,” the bride says. A vibrant palette of lavender, maroon, navy and gold infused the alfresco nuptials with a sense of glamour. Cody’s best friend’s daughter served as the couple’s flower girl. “She was there the day Cody proposed, and I knew she was the girl I wanted to walk down the aisle in front of me,” Nicole says. Lounge vignettes were constructed throughout the reception tent, offering partygoers a welcome reprieve from the dance floor. The clear tent was further decorated with trailing vines, and guests dined on cross-back chairs at round tables dotted with navy menu cards and towering gilded centerpieces. Fresh roses cascaded down the side of the couple's gilded, gluten-free cake.
