“I wanted my attire to match the whimsical, floral and vintage style that Skylands radiated,” Caitlin notes. She wore a lace and tulle strapless A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline. Jarrod accessorized his black tuxedo with a soft gold-colored vest and two-toned wingtip shoes.

A custom silhouette of Caitlin and Jarrod topped the champagne-gold- trimmed buttercream cake. The inside was white cake with a berry-custard filling.

The bride and groom wed in the early evening aside the gardens’ koi pond.

To complement their blush chiffon dresses, Caitlin gave each bridesmaid a vintage clutch to use during the reception. the maid of honor stood out in a dress of slightly different design, which she paired with gold peep-toe pumps instead of the robin’s egg blue shoes the bridesmaids wore.

Caitlin carried a bouquet of peonies, Queen Anne’s lace, snapdragons, lisianthus, larkspur, hypericum berries, dusty miller, Boston fern and variegated pittosporum.

The escort cards featured the same floral design as the invitations and were tied to vintage keys with gold, blush and sea foam silk ribbon.

Caitlin and Jarrod hired old-time jazz band Tamar Korn & Company to play during the ceremony, cocktail hour and beginning of the reception. Caitlin walked down the aisle to “La Vie en Rose” by Édith Piaf. “Everyone told us how much they loved the band and how unique it made our wedding,” Caitlin recalls.
As a favor, the couple gave each guest a plant to bring home and grow: a succulent in a lace-wrapped glass pot.
