A Hollywood-Inspired Classic Wedding at Avalon Hotel Palm Springs in Palm Springs, California
Although you can see the hills of the desert in the distance, this wedding in Palm Springs, California, is far from looking dry. The lush green landscape of the Avalon Hotel Palm Springs, formerly known as the Viceroy Palm Springs, was combined with a color palette of black, white, yellow and gray for the outdoor marriage of David Hofmann (50 and in advertising) and Timothy Hug (50 and in retail-purchasing management). “We owned a home in Palm Springs for many years, and it always held a special place in our hearts,” the couple says. The luxurious outdoor hotel venue served as inspiration for the Hollywood-themed wedding , which was brought to life through the grooms’ formal black tuxedo attire, glamorous crystal chandeliers hanging from wires and classic linens of black and white. The ceremony took place on the lawn of the venue, where the couple said their vows under a tent draped with white linens. The reception was held in the courtyard, where dining tables were dressed in white linens with black-and-white runners that were decorated in Greek key patterns, captured by Christine Arnold Photography. We absolutely loved the contrast created by the canary yellow calla lily and rose centerpieces accented with green succulents against the black-and-white table linens, arranged by Artisan Event Floral Decor, that incorporated a pop of color into the classic palette.
