Taulbi Morrison (27, a physical therapist) and Jim Morrison (26, an operations manager) met through knowing each other’s families by attending the same church. After Taulbi had gotten her degree in graduate school, she was searching for an apartment closer to where she would soon start to work. At the same time, Jim’s tenant was moving out of the two-family apartment he was living in. Jim’s aunt connected the two of them, and two months later Taulbi moved into Jim’s apartment. Taulbi and Jim began to date after six months of living together, and one month into their relationship Jim knew that she was the one he wanted to marry. The couple had their wedding at the Taft Art Museum in Downtown Cincinnati, where they fell in love with the historical building, garden area and the overall classic look of the venue. On the wedding day, Taulbi wore a classic ivory wedding dress by Justin Alexander and Jim a suit designed by Tommy Hilfiger with a Michael Kors tie to not outshine the natural beauty of the venue. The garden area where the ceremony took place was then flipped into the reception, with the wedding festivities flowing from one celebration to the next. The couple agreed that at the end of the day, the occasion felt like it accurately reflected their relationship without being over the top, letting the natural surroundings speak for themselves.

“Our wedding and reception took place in the same location,” says Taulbi. “So after the wedding, the area was flipped to accommodate dining, so cocktails and appetizers were served immediately after the ceremony.”
