A Green and Blue Wedding at a Private Residence in Henderson, North Carolina

Kalithia Williams (30 and a payroll technician) and Dwight Williams (29 and in the military) used their favorite colors, royal blue and kelly green, for a palette that was distinctly them. Wanting their wedding to be ultra-personalized, the couple decided their backyard in Henderson, North Carolina, would be the perfect location. “We had our wedding at our home,” Kalithia says. “We wanted something a little more personal so our guests could really get to know us. We live on five acres of farmland, so we had a nice intimate ceremony in our front yard under a tree and a tented reception in our backyard.” We love all the DIY details that Kalithia and Dwight made, including the blue, green and white floral arrangements, wooden round centerpieces and classic stationery. One of our favorite parts was the delicious menu from Red Hot & Blue including pulled pork, fried chicken and sweet tea. See all our favorite details, beautifully captured by Latosha Saunders from Story and Rhythm, below. A tip from Kalithia: “I'm glad I had time on my side since we had a year-and-a-half-long engagement. I was able to work out all the details I wanted. This also allows for less stress when planning and time to save more money.”
