A coworker “casually but strategically” introduced Rashaan and Donville. Native New Orleanian Rashaan had just moved to New York, and Donny was determined to get her to fall in love with the city. She did -- and also fell in love with him in the process. Luckily, the feeling was mutual. The Bride Rashaan Early, 30, in sales and trading The Groom Donville Reid, 33, also in sales and trading The Date August 16 After dating for six years and moving in together, Donny popped the question at the couple’s Upper West Side home. Rashaan was wearing pajamas when Donny got down on one knee during one of their weekly Friday date-night dinners. Swank Productions helped the couple achieve their dream of combining grandeur and fun for their Greek-themed wedding.

After Rashaan walked down an aisle covered in purple petals, she and Donny exchanged vows in the round, so all of their guests could see.
The women chose from a few different styles of silk-chiffon gowns all in the same eggplant hue to coordinate.
An edible chalice put the finishing touch on the couple’s ultra-luxe cake with Grecian filigree designs and a tier of columns for extra height.
Towering topiaries with candles, gold-dusted grapes, olive leaves, and ivy filled out the vast room.
Statues, columns, and candleholders with images of sculptures on them transformed the cocktail hour space into a Greek gallery.
Rashaan loves the art of ancient Greece, so the couple’s event designer filled their day with details fit for deities. The colors of grapes and plenty of bling rounded out the event.
Instead of numbers, the tables were named after Greek goddesses and gods. The table cards explained what those deities represented.
After dinner, Rashaan changed into a party dress, and the couple led guests in the second line dance to honor the bride’s hometown.
Candles lit up graphics of gods and goddesses to play up the theme.
To nod to the theme, a Greek key motif lined the edges of the escort cards while glass grape clusters worked in the signature colors.
