Victoria Luhrs (31 and an instructional coach) and Kip Lynch (33 and an arborist) met through mutual friends, and less than a year later, Kip proposed in Victoria’s home after dinner. The couple exchanged vows in a traditional Christian ceremony at the United Methodist Church of The Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas, before heading to Sheraton Overland Park Hotel at the Convention Center in Overland, Kansas, for the reception. Wanting to keep their wedding simple with a touch of glamour, they used a black-and-white color palette accented with gold. Victoria and Kip made a lot of the sparkly details themselves such as the deer cake toppers and easel-held table numbers. They served beers from both of their hometowns—Boulevard Brewery and Tall Grass Brewery—during cocktail hour and splurged on sweets such as chocolate chip cookies, wedding cake and donuts.

Victoria designed the elegant black, white and gold stationery herself. The simple invitation suite was decorated with a gold foil L at the top for a little glamorous flair.
