A Glitzy, Romantic Wedding at Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland

Perlyn Taruc (28 and a human resources manager) and Jorel Taruc (28 and a systems engineer) met at a nightclub in Washington, DC called LOVE, ironically enough. Perlyn had just gotten out of a relationship and wasn't ready to start a new one, so Jorel patiently waited for her. "His persistence and determination are what made me fall for him," says Perlyn. "Who says you can't find love at the club?" she jokes. Jorel proposed to Perlyn among family and friends in their backyard, which he had decorated with fairy lights. Perlyn and Jorel decided to exchange their vows at the Baltimore Basilica with the following reception at the nearby Walters Art Museum. With a color palette of purple, pink and silver, their wedding bash was glitzy and glamorous. Sparkly centerpieces of roses and hydrangeas decorated the museum foyer, which boasted high ceilings and doric columns lit by purple uplighting. Dining tables covered in silver tablecloths were arranged with gold chiavari chairs and accented with blue linens. A lavish dinner was followed by a beautiful five tier white wedding cake that was flavored almond raspberry amaretto and red velvet. Perlyn and Jorel's museum wedding was a dreamlike happily ever after.

Perlyn and Jorel's invitation suite was modern and fun in purple, pink and silver.

Perlyn wore her hair down in curls with a white rosette hair accessory. Jorel wore a gray tuxedo with a black bow tie and a white calla lily boutonniere.
Perlyn carried a bouquet with ivory roses. She added crystal brooches as bling.
Perlyn and Jorel were originally planning on having their ceremony at the same place as their reception, but when that venue canceled on them, they saw it as a blessing since they could now have their wedding at the amazing Baltimore Basilica.
The reception was held in the foyer of the Walters Art Museum, under its high ceilings and amidst its stone columns. The festivities were lit with purple uplighting.
Dining tables at the reception were set with gold chiavari chairs and covered with silver linens. Napkins at the table were navy blue and the centerpieces were pink.
Perlyn and Jorel's centerpieces consisted of flower arrangements of white hydrangeas, pink roses and purple and pink stock flowers on glass cylinder vases with votive candles dangling from crystal beads.
The five tier white wedding cake was flavored almond raspberry amaretto and red velvet. Perlyn and Jorel also had a coffee station and chocolate fountain at their wedding.
