A Glitzy, Gold and Purple Wedding at The Cypress Grove Estate House in Orlando, Florida
Between the sequin bridesmaid dresses, vibrant florals and vintage furniture, Heather Carter (35 and a nurse practitioner) and Alexander Torres’s (37 and a Rheumatologist) gold and purple wedding is filled with details we love! The couple started their day with a waterfront ceremony at The Cypress Grove Estate House. An Affair to Remember, the couple’s planner, lined the aisle with a mix of tall and short vintage lanterns in different hues as sheer white fabric was draped over their white arbor. For a pop of color, Lee Forrest Design, the couple’s florist, topped the arbor and their vintage gold entrance signs with vibrant purple and pink blooms. Did we mention Heather's dress? She walked up the aisle in a stunning ivory wedding dress by Maggie Sottero covered with intricate, vintage-style beading and accented with short sleeves. The best part: it was picked out as a “just for fun” dress by her consultant at Minerva’s Bridal. “I walked out and knew from the look on everyone's faces that it was the one,” says Heather. After the couple exchanged vows, they celebrated with a glitzy outdoor reception. Gold sequin linens covered each round and family-style table as whimsical arrangements of branches, pearls and hanging candles and bright purple flowers served as the centerpieces. Another standout detail was their wedding cake! The Sugar Suite baked a four-tier confection with delicate gold piping on two ivory tiers and a fun ruffled detail in gold. Red, purple and pink blooms also topped off each layer. Amalie Orrange Photography captured every detail below.
