A Glitzy, Fuchsia Wedding at Baker Creek Place in Bellingham, Washington
A touch of sparkle contributed to the overall glamour of this classic wedding, decked out in a palette of fuchsia, silver and white. Raquel Garcia (21 and a medical receptionist) and Carlos Ventura (22 and a HVAC technician) had their glitz-and-glam wedding at Baker Creek Place in Bellingham, Washington, conveniently located close to where both of their families lived. “We love sparkle -- well, I do more than he does -- so that inspired us while planning our wedding,” Raquel says. The ceremony took place outside on the wood-chip surface, with the aisle decorated in white and fuchsia petals. Folding chairs faced the front, which had two high tables on either side of the altar that displayed ivory hydrangea arrangements in tall glass vases, all captured by B. Jones Photography. The reception was moved into the center’s banquet hall, which had tables dressed in white linens with fuchsia runners that was complemented by matching chairs, with the help of Ever After Events. The guest book, filled with photos of the happily married couple, was signed by family and friends using a white-feather pen. Although all the sparkling decor made it hard to pick a favorite detail, we were especially won over by the intricate cake designed by Barb’s Pies and Pastries. The four-tier ivory wedding cake was decorated with fuchsia ribbon and crystal accents, and covered from top to bottom with fuchsia roses. Displayed on a silver antique stand, the cake embodied the glamorous color palette of the wedding day.
