A Glamorous Wedding with White Accents at Quinta Mazatlan World Birding Center in McAllen, Texas

With white flowers and twinkling lights, Laura Corpus (30 and a nurse) and Serafin Gomez's (30 and a contractor) wedding had an ethereal, dreamy feel. Laura wore family heirlooms, including a bracelet worn by all the women on her father’s side of the family. “It was an honor to wear a piece so exquisite,” she says. After a traditional Catholic ceremony, guests moved to cocktail hour to sip mezcal margaritas and listen to an acoustic guitarist. Laura knew the Quinta Mazatlan World Birding Center was right for their wedding from the start. “I always wanted to have my wedding there because of its beautiful outdoor hacienda. When I saw all the décor [on our wedding day], my jaw needed to be picked up off the floor.” The night ended with a buttercream cake and a plate of the couple's favorite desserts, including strawberries and Nutella.
