A Glamorous, Vintage Wedding at Rosecliff Manor in Newport, Rhode Island
With the opulent Rosecliff Manor as their backdrop, Lindsey Steck and Derrick Lachman’s romantic, vintage-inspired wedding exuded old-world elegance. “We both love antiques, so a place with the history and style of Newport was perfect for us,” Lindsey says. “We naturally gravitated toward a vintage feel for everything.” Gilded accents and a muted color palette of blush, burgundy, gold and ivory was a must to pull off their vision and complement the venue’s luxe interior. But it was the florals that truly knocked it out of the park, from Lindsey’s cascading bouquet of dusty rose and burgundy blooms to the skyward-reaching arrangements of greenery that graced the reception tables and showstopping chuppah that framed the couple during the ceremony. “We incorporated a lot of cascading greenery and a color palette of burgundy and interesting shades of ivory and white,” Lindsey says. “The chuppah Flowers by Semia designed and built was so beautiful and romantic. And we didn’t even see it until we walked down the aisle, which was really special!” The couple gave just as much attention to their sartorial choices as they did the décor. Derrick had a custom brown velvet suit inspired by Childish Gambino made for the occasion, while Lindsay opted for a romantic lace mermaid gown by Rivini Couture with a corset bodice, illusion lace sleeves and a dramatic lace-trimmed blusher veil. For their first look, Lindsey surprised Derrick by wearing their favorite set of silly dog-print pajamas before leading him into the bridal suite for a sneak peek at her dress.
