A Glamorous, Vintage Wedding at Loose Mansion in Kansas City, Missouri
Briana Marxen-McCollom (27 and an actor) and Emerson Roland Rapp III (29 and an industrial engineer) wanted a vintage, glamorous theme for their wedding. Silver, gold, and dark red in the color palette emphasized the theme as well as their reception in the historical Loose Mansion. Since the couple's wedding was held on New Year's Eve, the mansion was still fully decorated for the holidays, adding to the vintage glamour theme. Briana loves vintage fashion, and so she close a classic romantic silhouette for her gown: a strapless fit and flare ivory satin gown with a chapel train. An off the shoulder lace shrug completed her look. Briana's bouquet was filled with red roses, hypericum berries, silver and gold leaves, cedar greens, and crystal bead accents. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos with deep red vests and ties, while the bridesmaids wore deep red dresses by Sorella Vita. The ceremony was also held at the mansion, with the couple sharing a cup of blessed wine and exchanging handwritten vows. "The ceremony was SO us. We cried, we laughed. It was great," Briana says.
