A Glamorous Purple-and-White Wedding at The Vault in Tampa, Florida

Cassandra and Michael wanted their wedding to have an ethereal feel so the vaulted ceilings and bright, airy atmosphere of The Vault in Tampa, Florida, made their venue selection a simple one. Beyond aesthetics, the venue choice was a practical one as well. "An indoor wedding minimized the stress of potential Tampa storms or uncomfortable heat, and we wanted our guests to be comfortable throughout the ceremony and reception," Cassandra shares. She goes on to explain that, "The Vault was a bank in the 1920s, and the original, ornate Vault is still there! We set up our coffee station in the Vault. The guests loved reading about the history of the venue that was posted in the Vault, and taking photos by the door. We had a customized light feature that projected our name onto the wall at our venue." 

To bring their ethereal wedding at The Vault in Tampa to life they selected "light blue, grays, white and silver as our color palette." Not only did their palette selection work well with their dream aesthetic, it also helped the couple seamlessly highlight their heritage. Cassandra's "father's family is from the Azores, Portugal. In Sao Miguel, there are hydrangeas in every shade of blue scattered along every hillside. My great grandmother was named Hortensia, which is hydrangea in Portuguese. I knew from the beginning I wanted only hydrangeas as my flower so my centerpieces were simple, light blue hydrangeas." 

Looking back on the couple's big day, Cassandra had this advice to share with current to-be-weds: "It's incredible to have all of your loved ones celebrating with you in one place, but it's also overwhelming. Taking just a few minutes to be alone, kiss, and bask in the joy that is your wedding day is so important! One of my favorite memories of our wedding night is when we snuck upstairs to have a moment alone, and fireworks were going off out the window for a festival going on down the street! It felt like the fireworks for just for us."
