A Glamorous Old-World Wedding at the Society Room of Hartford in Hartford, Connecticut
Kimberly Germain (26 and a teacher) and Anthony Giordano (25 and a sales manager) chose a "Great Gatsby"-inspired theme for their wedding day, which began with a ceremony at the impressive Hartford City Hall in Hartford, Connecticut, followed by dinner and dancing at the equally awe-inspiring Society Room of Hartford. "Both our ceremony and reception venues were very grand, so a "Great Gatsby" theme seemed to fit perfectly," Kimberly says. "I also really like vintage things, so it seemed to carry across everything perfectly." A timeless color scheme of whites and silvers tied it all together, while pops of purple (Kimberly's favorite color) added a vibrant splash of personality to the day's details. Advice from Kimberly: "When your wedding day comes, take a couple of minutes to go somewhere quiet, just you and your new husband, to take everything in. That day is going to be one of the craziest days of your life but also one of the most memorable. So take a minute to step back and look at everything that you did to make it happen, and look at all your guests having the time of their lives—trust me, it's worth it." —Meghan Overdeep
