A Glamorous, Modern Wedding at the South Carolina Governor's Mansion in Columbia, South Carolina

Nicole Smith (37 and works in public affairs) and Carlton Boyd (36 and a health care professional) said their vows on the manicured grounds of the South Carolina Governor’s Mansion. “We got married directly across from the building where we first met,” Nicole says. To add a little extra glam, the couple chose shimmering rose gold décor with pops of fuschia for the outdoor affair. Rose petals dotted the aisle, scattered candles lit the floral-draped altar and the property's fountain served as the majestic backdrop for the ceremony. To evoke the ethereal air of the gardens, centerpieces featured an ombré arrangement of flowers, including roses and hydrangeas. Nicole's bouquet was a bit more muted, made entirely of white peonies. “My bouquet was probably my best accessory, it really made my dress look fabulous,” Nicole says. Standing alongside Nicole, all three bridesmaid wore sequined, rose-gold metallic dresses, which matched the glittery lining and foil lettering of the invitation suite. “I think that color looks great on all skin tones,” Nicole says. After the ceremony, guests toasted with pink sparkling wine before the bride and groom rode off in a luxurious vintage Rolls Royce.
