A Glamorous Magenta Wedding at Biltmore Ballrooms in Atlanta, Georgia
After popping the question in Capri, Italy, Jerome Greathouse (45 and in management) and Howard “Tito” Peters (43 and a physician) knew they wanted to have a glamorous wedding, drawing inspiration from their travels to the French Riviera and the Amalfi Coast and Rome in Italy. Jerome and Tito brought their nuptials to life at the glamorous Biltmore Ballrooms in Atlanta, Georgia, with extravagant floral arrangements and a palette of magenta, sage and gold. During the couple’s ceremony in the Imperial Ballroom, the aisle was lined with romantic candles and manicured boxwood hedges. They exchanged vows in front of a candle wall. After saying "I do," Jerome and Tito “jumped the broom” and walked up the aisle hand-in-hand as guests tossed pink rose petals. For the dinner reception, the newlyweds made their grand entrance to “You’re So Beautiful” by Jussie Smollett and had their first dance to “In Common” by Alicia Keys. “The room went crazy with surprise as we acted out the song in the middle of the room with dance,” Tito says. For dinner, the couple embraced their Southern heritage by serving dishes like southern Georgia fried green tomatoes with goat cheese, southern Alabama chicken tossed in bourbon, triple mac and cheese, braised beef short ribs and Krispy Kreme doughnuts sauteed with bourbon and topped with vanilla ice cream. —Marissa Hermanson
