A Glamorous Great Gatsby-Inspired Wedding at Swan House in Atlanta, Georgia

Holly Bishoff (31 and an insurance agent) was friends with Griffin Goodman's (32 and an insurance agent) younger sister Maggie throughout high school but didn't reconnect with her best friend's older brother until they were both in her wedding party. After a few years of dating, the pair purchased a boat and Griffin surprised Holly with an engagement ring during a sunset cruise. With the help of Lafete Wedding and Events, the couple planned an elaborate Georgia affair while both making career changes. For a formal feel, Holly and Griffin picked the impressive Swan House in Atlanta and incorporated a Great Gatsby vibe. “We selected our venue because the history spoke to us—it’s an elegant mansion that was built in 1928,” says Holly. “We knew when we saw the staircase and landscaping there was no other place for us to get married.” With a “Southern-glam” theme in mind, Holly and Griffin hosted a black-tie event honoring their heritage with sophisticated Southern touches. Black and white linens and silver candelabras filled with white hydrangea and rose arrangements decorated the timeless ballroom. To go enhance her formal-meets-Southern day, Holly found an art deco–inspired gown and completed her look with a beaded headband and a lush peony bouquet.?My bouquet and the bridesmaid's were composed of fluffy white peonies, white sweetpeas, white ranunculus,Champagne and blush Sahara roses, and small groupings of cotton
