A Glamorous Gold Backyard Wedding at a Private Home in Austin, Texas

A vibrant purple and gold color scheme, accented with glamorous chandeliers and lighting, infused Ana Guerrero (26 and a real estate transaction coordinator) and Russel Willingham’s (25 and an accounting student) outdoor event with an undeniable air of romance.

“I’m not tall, so I wanted to make sure my dress wasn’t too puffy or formfitting,” Ana says. She decided on an intricately beaded sweetheart gown with a soft tulle skirt and crystal-embellished silver sandals—a day-of decision that prevented her from sinking into the grass during their ceremony. 

Sleek white floral centerpieces and gold sequined tablecloths added drama and dimension to the tented reception, which was held in Russell’s parents’ backyard. At dusk, the oversize tent glowed with purple and white lighting.

Glam, gilded accents included sequined table linens and chiavari chairs, while patterned dinnerware lent additional texture to each tablescape. For an added pop of glitz, Ana carried a vibrant purple bouquet of Vanda orchids and gold seeded eucalyptus.
