A Glamorous, Garden-Inspired Destination Wedding at Darlington House in La Jolla, California
East Coast style decorated this West Coast destination wedding with a glamorous, garden-inspired theme at the Darlington House in La Jolla, California, brought over by California native Jessica Chiavetta (29 and a fashion buyer) and Christian Chiavetta (29 and a doctor), who lived in New York City at the time. "The vision quickly came to be an East Coast meets West Coast affair, all taking place in a coastal setting," Jessica says. "Since Darlington House is a historical estate with an outdoor reception space, it instantly came to mind as the perfect reception venue for a glamorous garden vibe." Guests received white invitations splashed with watercolors and elegant calligraphy that embodied a glam-packed look, sealed in envelopes with polka-dot and stripe patterns. Pink, black, white and metallics colored the day's details with the help of Tres Chic Affairs—from the light pink bridesmaid cocktail dresses and metallic shoes to the flower arrangements of chrysanthemums, roses and veronica that created the garden look. With heart-shaped sunglasses on, Jessica rocked her look with a white strapless Monique Lhuillier wedding dress accented in lace and wrapped with a silver belt. We absolutely loved their sugar cookie wedding favors shaped like palm trees and taxis captured by True Photography Weddings, which gave tribute to their East Coast home base and West Coast roots. "We really wanted to show off my beautiful hometown and bring together our families and friends for a celebratory few days," Jessica says.
