Nikki, 41, CEO of Glitter Magazine, Scott, 34, works in sales, met online. Even though they seemed an unlikely couple–she is from New Jersey and he is from Arkansas–they had an instant connection. After making a long-distance relationship work, they decided to take the next step. Scott flew across the country and proposed on the street in front of a flower store. Nikki used her teen fashion and celebrity magazine for inspiration to combine their different styles–rustic charm and city chic–into one. They exchanged vows in an intimate family-only ceremony, but got the party started for a reception. Adding pink details and gold accents to their barn wedding, the couple pulled off a classic, glamorous affair.

Intimate Outdoor The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch Ceremony
Nikki wore a strapless buttercream Yumi Katsura wedding dress with a Vera Wang veil from Bridal Impressions in New York City. Scott wore a Brooks Brothers tuxedo.
“The outdoor landscape and barn was absolute breathtaking for our ceremony and reception,” Nikki says. “We chose this location because of the chic rustic decor and our love of country life.”
“I run a teen fashion and celebrity magazine entitled Glitter, so that was the inspiration,” Nikki says. The barn was decorated with large chandeliers, string lights and white drapery.

The centerpieces consisted of pink peonies and white roses in mercury glass and small pillar candles. The reception tables were completed with sparkly gold chevron table runners. “I needed everything to reflect the style I have acquired directing photo shoots and the beautiful flowers I’ve seen on my trips to Paris,” Nikki says.
Glamorous Gold Place Settings
Nikki and Scott enjoyed a three-tier white wedding cake with raspberry filling. Silver rhinestones wrapped around the base of each layer, and the cake was topped with cascading white roses.
Nikki and Scott Sparkler Exit
At the end of the night, Nikki, Scott and their guests released lanterns into the night sky. “Everyone enjoyed seeing them light up the sky,” Nikki says.
Guests took home succulent plants with cute labels like love, hope and faith. “Every element was special and reflective of out love for our family and friends,” Nikki says.
