A Glamorous, Classic Wedding with Natural Flair at the Hidden Pines Chapel in Highland Village, Texas

Erica Kohandani (26 and a student records administrator at AVEDA Institute Dallas) and Billy Baine (27 and a home sales executive at Megatel Homes) chose a timeless color palette of ivory, navy blue and peach with touches of gold to pull off their rustic, romantic day.

Large windows and tall ceilings created an airy setting for the couple’s ceremony and reception. “A bonus for us: It was only a few minutes away from our house!” Erica says.

“I’ve always known I would incorporate cold into my wedding,” Erica says. The couple used a variety of textures in their design scheme — from a gilded tier on their vanilla-and-blackberry-jam cake to the sequined bridesmaid dresses.

The elegant reception had a decidedly Persian flair in honor of Erica’s heritage. “Blending our two cultures wasn’t easy, but luckily for us, the venue was in line with our vision,” she says. The couple surprised guests with belly dancers to encourage everyone to get on the dance floor. “It definitely worked!”
