A Glamorous, Black Tie Wedding at Gotham Hall in New York City, New York

Rachel and Michael brought the outdoors in for their Jewish nuptials with towering centerpieces, a rose-covered chuppah and vases of orchids, anemones and hydrangeas.

“I grew up in the city and loved the idea of getting married at a venue neither of us had been to before,” Rachel says of exchanging vows at Gotham Hall in Midtown. “We wanted something different than the classic ballroom and thought the hall would be perfect with its history and grand ceiling.”

Cocktail hour took place on the venue’s second floor, where guests sipped on signature drinks dubbed “his,” “hers” and “ours.” “Michael’s was a Manhattan, mine was a vodka dirty martini and ‘ours’ was a spicy tequila cocktail,” Rachel says.

The hall’s ornate ceiling inspired the envelope liners for the invitation suite and the geometric design seen on the couple’s textured cake. For their first dance as newlyweds, the couple picked “I Choose You” by Sara Bareilles. “We wanted our guests to dance with us the entire night, and they did!” Rachel says.
