A Glamorous At-Home Wedding at a Private Residence in Clayton, Missouri

Elaine Beck (25 and a pediatric physical therapist) and Mike Reinberg (26 and works in sales) met through mutual friends. After dating for two years, Mike proposed at Elaine’s family’s country home. Seven months later, the couple exchanged vows in a religious Catholic ceremony at Our Lady of the Pillar before celebrating at Elaine’s brother’s home for a private, personalized feel. They enlisted the help of Elaine’s mother, who has experience designing charity events, to help bring their vision to full form. They used neutral colors with shades of black and white, but also added some pops of plum in the Donna Morgan bridesmaid dresses. Many of the details were garden-inspired such as the romantic tree and hanging candle escort card table decor and the high and low rose and hydrangea centerpieces. Catering by Tony Marino served shrimp, caprese salad and friend artichoke hearts during cocktail hour on the string lit porch before serving filet mignon, lobster ravioli and green beans for dinner in the tented reception. Guests indulged in warm bread pudding for dessert, which was perfect for their October wedding. During the reception, they even had a cigar lounge with an outdoor fireplace and monogrammed blankets. Guests danced until about 1 a.m. to DJ Greasy who created a dance club vibe with his mixed tracks. “Many friends have told us that they’ve never danced harder in their life,” Elaine says.
