A Glamorous and Elegant Wedding at the Down Town Club in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Claudia Velez (29 and a fashion buyer) and Ammar Karim (29 and an orthopedic resident) opted for a modern wedding with sleek gold, black and white details. “We wanted something that would read timeless and chic,” Claudia said, so they chose Philadelphia's elegant Down Town Club, a Georgian Revival–style building with marble flooring and original brass chandeliers, overlooking Independence Mall. 

Claudia and Ammar’s wedding also celebrated a decade of love. The couple’s relationship began in high school and continued long-distance when Ammar left for medical school. “He used to sit behind me in class and draw me pictures,” Claudia remembered. “Ammar was super-shy, so we decided to start off as friends to take some of the pressure off.
