A Glam Valentine's Day Wedding at Ballroom at Church Street in Orlando, Florida
Stephanie Smith (29 and a volunteer coordinator) and Lou Casaceli (30 and an account manager) gathered their friends and families in Orlando, Florida, for a glam Valentine’s Day fete at the Ballroom at Church Street. While the couple hail from Illinois and New Jersey, Florida—Disney World, to be exact—is where their love story truly unfolded, and paying tribute to their whimsical beginning was a must for the pair. An outdoor ceremony kicked off the festivities in the venue’s intimate brick courtyard. Bundles of red roses lined the aisle, guiding Stephanie and Lou to a stately brick fireplace and an awe-inspiring stained-glass backdrop, where they exchanged heartfelt vows. Gentle harp music floated through the air, and the warm Florida sun filled the secluded space with warmth and light. After saying “I do,” the newlyweds and their guests flowed into the Ballroom at Church Street’s expansive atrium for celebratory cocktails and decadent hors d’oeuvres. “It was so nice to have everything flow well and not have to wait for the rooms to be flipped over,” Stephanie says. A reception followed upstairs, where Stephanie and Lou’s showstopping vision truly came to life. Dramatic red uplighting infused the space with energy and life, while gilded chargers, elegant arrangements of full white and red blooms and flickering candlelight brought an air of romance and elegance to the decor. A subtle travel theme was woven throughout. Tables were named after locations in Disney movies, with each table name displayed in decoupage map frames made by Stephanie’s mother. After dinner guests hit up the prop-stocked photo booth, where they struck a pose and recorded video messages for the newlyweds. Meanwhile, on the dance floor, Big and Rich band kept guests moving with their set list of upbeat tunes. A tip from Stephanie and Lou: “Take it all in, since it goes so fast. Most important, remember all those people in the room came to celebrate both of you.” —Libby MacCarthy
