A Glam New Year’s Eve Wedding at Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel in Raleigh, North Carolina
Melody Butler (28 and a dentist) and Mike Long (28 and a software engineer) took glam to a whole new level with their stunning ethereal garden–meets–New Year’s Eve soiree. The couple chose the Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel in Raleigh, North Carolina, because it was ultra-convenient for guests, and the newlyweds didn’t have to worry about their loved ones getting somewhere at the end of the night (just upstairs!). Wedding planner and florist Demetris Faison from Creative Touch Designs worked with the couple to turn the hotel into a garden, complete with towering trees, hanging terrariums and flower garlands. “We gave him our ideas, and he let his magic work,” Melody says. “What he did with it was amazing.” Melody and Mike's champagne and purple color palette with pops of gold matched their New Year’s Eve theme and brought a little romance to the celebration. Dajuan Jones In His Image Photography beautifully captured all the details of the day. “We could not ask for a better individual to assist in documenting our one and only moment,” Melody says. “His service was above and beyond extraordinary. His demeanor and his attention to detail is immaculate. Mike and I will forever cherish his work.” One of our favorite parts was Melody’s beaded Mori Lee wedding dress with a full, ruffled skirt. And don’t get us started on her stunning Badgley Mischka crystal-embellished heels! At the end of the night, the couple popped confetti guns into the air over the dance floor in celebration for the new year.
