A Glam, Modern Wedding at The Venue at Seventh Heaven in Cypress, Texas

Uchenna (Uche) Enwereji (24 and a respiratory therapist) and Christian Amadasun (33 and an engineer) were married in a glam, modern affair tied together with cheery pops of blue and gold.

“I wanted a romantic, candlelit feel,” Uche says of her vision for the reception. They accomplished this by doubling down on candles, especially on and around their acrylic sweetheart table, and using votives on the round guest tables.

Christian stood out from his groomsmen in a white jacket with black trim.

Uche worked with their baker to design a soaring fondant confection with a bold mix of texture and colors. “I wanted something truly unique,” she says.

The bridesmaids accessorized their gold, one-shoulder, crystal-embellished dresses with statement earrings and traditional Nigerian headdresses. To add cultural flair, the couple also took their first spin to a song by popular Nigerian singer Banky W. “The lyrics were truly made for us!” Uche says.

To honor their Nigerian heritages, the couple changed into the traditional agbada and iro and buba for the reception.
