A Glam, Modern Chinese Wedding at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in Fort Myers, Florida

Using white florals, metallic shades and cultural elements, Tiffany Wu (26 and an attorney) and Tui Popenoe (26 and a software engineer) created a formal day that felt true to themselves. “Our theme was just us,” the bride says. “It truly was an expression of our personal style.”

Tiffany and Tui highlighted their regal venue with pops of gold, including the metallic bridesmaid dresses. “I wanted them to feel glamorous and chose a dress they could wear again to a black-tie event,” she says.

“I knew my wedding dress experience would be unique and special,” says Tiffany, whose father owns House of Wu.

The invitation suite included acrylic with gold screen printing, sunstone marbling and a gold wax seal.

Lion dancers escorted guests from the ceremony to the cocktail hour, where Chinese fortune-tellers throughout the room explained the meanings behind the signature drinks: the Gator Chomp, because the couple met at University of Florida, and Cathedral Cove Bubbles, where Tui proposed in New Zealand.

“My bouquet included a Swarovski Hello Kitty necklace gifted to me by my mother,” Tiffany says.
