A Glam Garden Wedding at The Garden Pavilion in Sonoma, California

Tess Hsiung and Fill Faught tapped their venue’s lush garden setting to infuse their wine country wedding with an elegant, organic edge. Lush greenery and a palette of gray, blush and gold accents dominated the décor to bring the soiree’s garden-glam theme to life. “We very much wanted to keep the décor simple and classy so it wouldn’t overshadow the gorgeous natural setting of the venue,” Tess says. Overflowing with full, eye-catching florals and vibrant green vines, the garden where the ceremony took place needed little in the way of extras. Before saying “I do,” the couple did a first look to shake off the preceremony jitters and take a peek at all of the decorative details. “We were not only really excited to see each other but couldn’t wait to share the moment of seeing the results of our hard work and planning together,” Tess says. Farm tables surrounded by Provençal cross-back chairs dotted the open-air space, and bundles of blush and red peonies and mixed greenery wove in fresh pops of color. The reception stationery was even in on the theme, with the place cards and seating charts bearing a watercolor rosemary motif. The venue’s columns were wrapped in a thick canopy of ivy, and shimmering string lights hung from the exposed rafters. To designate their spot at the head table, the couple decorated their chairs with wreaths of magnolia leaves. “My favorite part of the day was definitely the reception, where we had the chance to spend the most time with our guests,” Tess says. “I lived in several states growing up and made friends along the way, all over the country. It was really incredible and emotional for me to see all the important people in my life in one place.”
