A Glam Fall Wedding at The Waterview Loft at Port Detroit in Michigan with Burgundy Details
Philadelphians Ryan Graham (31 and a dentist) and Cameron Williams (31 and a physician) headed back to Ryan’s hometown of Detroit for their October wedding—and took design inspiration from fall in the Motor City. “Detroit is beautiful in the fall,” Ryan says. “Our theme came from the changing of the seasons, and the burgundy color palette really made it feel seasonal.” Romantic shades of red popped on many of the day’s details, from the blooms on the boxwood backdrop to the cake. In keeping with the autumnal vibe, Ryan and Cameron skipped flowers on many of the tables. Instead, the couple completed the décor with a textured mix of greenery, pepperberry, salal and moss, alongside elegant floating candles. The pair also paid tribute to Detroit’s roots—and got guests grooving—with old-school Motown during cocktail hour. Ryan channeled her love of metallics into the pair’s invites, which featured rose gold foil and a wax seal. “Foil printing allowed us to incorporate our colors into the stationery without overdoing it,” Ryan says.
