A Glam Fall Wedding at the University Club of Palo Alto in Los Altos, California
Alexis Hinton (31 and a graduate student at USC) and Tasha Easton (34 and an HR program manager) discovered inspiration in the woodsy surroundings of their venue, incorporating a subtle tree theme. “The wood details and trees represented the roots of our family,” Alexis says. “Our family gives us life and provided our foundation,” Tasha adds. “I even gifted diamond tree necklaces to my bridesmaids.” The couple included a decorated “tree of life” to symbolize a strong foundation for their marriage. Gold was a prominent tone, from the brushed metallic cake to the satin linens on the tables accented with deep burgundy blossoms. “We wanted to make the evening sparkle,” Alexis says. To up the drama of the décor, the pair wove different shades of purple throughout the event. Raspberry-colored linens and cascading blooms popped against the gilded reception tabletops. Tasha’s purple calla lily bouquet complemented Alexis’s wine-hued suit and jewel-tone accessories. The flower girl even coordinated with the floral palette in a wine-hued tulle dress and gold shoes. Another way the newlyweds put their personal stamp on the festivities was by jumping the broom during their church ceremony.
