When Adam Brady (40 and the Director for the NHL team the Anaheim Ducks) decided to propose to Michelle Baker (39 and a 5th grade teacher), he took her back to the very spot where he had told her he loved her for the first time eight years earlier in Palm Springs, CA, presenting her with a custom designed engagement ring made by his family jeweler. The couple planned a glamorous beachfront affair at the boutique hotel Seven4One in Laguna Beach, CA. The stunning spot offered both a unique environment for Michelle and Adam's nuptials and a convenient location for their guests. "Our wedding party and close friends were able to book rooms there, so we basically had the hotel to ourselves for the entire evening and overnight," says Michelle. The outdoor ceremony and reception had a distinct, earthy vibe with a contemporary twist, filled with reclaimed wood, a living wall and a rooftop deck offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. Michelle and Adam opted for a blush and gold color palette, which was incorporated into everything from Michelle's striking Watters wedding dress to the flowers and table linens. The introduction of shimmery accents, like rose gold glitter table linens and mercury glass vases, pillar candles, lanterns and strings of brightly lit bistro lights created a glamorous, romantic vibe. To play up the setting, the couple filled the space with arrangements of lush greenery, succulents, grasses, dried pods and berries with a few pink peonies, Michelle's favorite flower, thrown into the mix.

Michelle walked down the aisle in a stylish pair of shimmery blush sandals with braided detailing at the toe.
Michelle ditched tradition and chose a stunning blush Watters gown in a strapless A-line style with a full ruffled organza skirt. She accessorized the look with a gold sash, gold jewelry and a light blush veil from BHLDN.
To play up the beachy locale and the natural, contemporary feel of their venue, Michelle opted for a lush bouquet chock full of greenery, grasses, succulents and dried pods, plus a few white peonies, her favorite flower.
Traditional Black Groomsmen Suits
Michelle allowed her bridesmaids to choose their own dresses for the wedding, which ensured that they would not only be comfortable, but they'd be able to wear the dresses again.
Rustic Non-Flower Bridesmaid Bouquets
The couple created a backdrop for the ceremony with glass orbs filled with sand and cascading succulents to work with the earthy vibe of the space.
In lieu of flowers, Michelle and Adam lined their ceremony aisle with lots of lush greenery and ivory pillar candles placed in brass lanterns for an earthy, romantic vibe.
"We wanted our wedding to be a celebration and party with close friends and families," says Michelle. "We kicked off the ceremony with a welcome glass of champagne as soon as they arrived to set the mood for the evening. "
