A Glam, Art Deco Wedding at the Cairnwood Estate in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania
Glitzy gold accents and Gatsby-inspired details brought Helena Jampel (30 and an HR business consultant) and Michael Eagle’s (34 and a realtor) vintage-glam celebration to life. “In the words of F. Scott Fitzgerald, it was a ‘kaleidoscopic carnival!’ ” Helena says.
Dressed in a trumpet-style sheath adorned with more than 30,000 Swarovski crystals, Helena wed Michael at Abington Art Center before moving the celebration to the venue she’d been eyeing for years. “Cairnwood Estate is such a unique setting,” she says of contacting the venue months before Michael popped the question to inquire about available wedding dates. “It’s unlike any other space we’ve ever been to.”
DIY escort cards were attached to gold-dipped goose feathers and displayed in a tray of gold glitter.
Towering gold centerpieces contained lush arrangements of dahlias, seeded eucalyptus, roses, hydrangeas and greenery. Chandeliers lined the length of the covered reception tent, where guests dined on bite-size tacos, miniature cheesesteaks and a homemade cake baked by the father of the bride.
With the help of some paint and support pillows, Helena’s parents turned a wood wagon into a sleek chariot for the 9-month-old ring bearer and flower girl. A handmade banner bearing the pair’s favorite Led Zeppelin lyric was displayed at the end of the aisle before it was repurposed as a reception backdrop
